This two-day session is offered by Karma Lama Yeshe, a Western Buddhist monk, based in Chandirgarh, India. (http://buddhismguide.org/books/) 
Lama Yeshe is a qualified and internationally recognized mindfulness master with over 30 years of experience teaching secular approaches to mindfulness in our daily lives and teaching practices. During his 4th visit to Kelowna, Lama Yeshe will offer both new and experienced participating educators opportunities to:  
1) Better understand what mindfulness is…looks-like and feels like… through expanded practical experience. 
 
2) Explore and Learn about and practice of various aspects of Mindfulness: of thoughts, of body, of emotions, of communication. 
3) Support the development of plans for use of various mindfulness practices in classrooms this fall. 
 
The practices learned are intended to help students be more settled in the classroom, open minded, alert and ready to better participate in collaboration with others and learning in general.
