This highly interactive workshop will focus on narrative development using the research based methodology and tool, Story Grammar Marker which has been used in classrooms for 20 years to help children think, communicate and learn. The Story Grammar Marker program includes tactile, kinesthetic tools and methodology that complement existing classroom programs to teach children to tell personal narratives, retell stories, write stories, comprehend oral language, think critically and develop social emotional competence. This approach is appropriate for all children in general education, as well as those with language learning difficulties and social communication challenges.
It is highly recommended that participants purchase materials through  www.mindwingconcepts.com and bring them to the workshop. Please e-mail  Miranda at  Miranda.odonnell@sd23.bc.ca prior to purchase for more information regarding what to order and to receive the 30% purchase discount.
