This is a continuation of the workshop: 'Story Grammar Marker-Narrative Text'. It is recommended that attendees have had past training in SGM-narrative text. Expository Text is text that contains description, compare and contrast, lists, sequence, cause and effect, problem/solution, and arguments/opinion/persuasion. This workshop will provide opportunity to learn about these different types of expository texts by identifying them and then exploring ways to help students organize, comprehend and write  non-fiction/informational material using the Story Grammar Marker methodology.

Target Audience: k to 6
It is highly recommended that participants purchase materials through  www.mindwingconcepts.com and bring them to the workshop. Please e-mail  Miranda at Miranda.odonnell@sd23.bc.ca prior to purchase for more information regarding what to order and to receive the 30% purchase discount.
