Miranda has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for 16 years. She has worked with School District #23 for 12 years. She has a special interest in metalinguistics and explicit teaching of speech, language, social cognition and literacy skills. She has done numerous workshops on the Story Grammar Marker. This approach makes language more visible and explicit for all students; as well it provides necessary scaffolding for individuals with language learning needs, learning disabilities, cognitive disabilities, attention challenges, executive functioning difficulties, and social cognition weaknesses. She regularly uses it in her own therapy sessions and has co-taught it in classrooms as well.
